Repair semi trucks and dump trucks: Engines (gas and diesel), electrical/brake/cooling systems, transmissions (manual and automatic), hydraulics, power train, clutches, differentials/power dividers, PTO systems, fan clutches, engine electronics, power steering systems and steering gear boxes.

Job Description / Responsibilities:

• Perform all levels of DOT preventive maintenance service on trucks;
• Maintain work area safety and orderly appearance;
• Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions and/or to ensure that they are working properly;
• Inspect braking systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, hydraulics and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper operating condition;
• Routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating
• Changing Tires, some bodywork, painting, fabricating
• Welding if experienced
• Shop Clean up

Qualifications / Skills:

• Experience with truck and/or heavy construction equipment required;
• Vocational / Technical certification beneficial;
• Proficiency in the use of all tools of trade required, including welding equipment, diagnostic equipment and power tools;
• Ability to work in non-climate controlled conditions
• Willingness to work overtime

License Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license required;
• CDL license preferred but no required
