Not simply an income, investment, or financial-literacy problem. We believe many people have learned how to accumulate money without ever learning what money is for.

At Horizon Wealth Planning and Root in Wisdom, we are building something different.

We believe we develop through money, not for money.

Our goal is not simply Financial Freedom. We want to help people move toward Financial Purpose, using money wisely and faithfully in service of the person God is calling them to become.

We are looking for a President of Operations to work directly alongside our Founder in leading Horizon Wealth Planning and building Root in Wisdom.

We are looking for an executive counterpart who can understand where we are going, help determine what needs to happen next, turn ideas into executable plans, lead people, build systems, establish priorities, and drive initiatives through completion.

Horizon Wealth Planning

Horizon Wealth Planning is an established financial planning and wealth management practice affiliated with Raymond James Financial Services.

We help individuals and families make wise financial decisions across investments, retirement, taxes, estate planning, risk management, and the broader decisions that shape their financial lives.

But we believe traditional financial planning often stops too early.

The industry is very good at answering questions like:

How much do I need?

How should I invest?

How do I reduce taxes?

How do I protect what I have?

Those questions matter.

But eventually another question appears:

What is all of this for?

That is where Root in Wisdom comes in.

Root in Wisdom

Root in Wisdom is a faith-based financial decision-making framework built around a different premise:

Money decisions are rarely only about money.

Money can reveal fear, control, impatience, generosity, identity, trust, purpose, and the deeper patterns shaping how a person lives.

RIW helps people recognize those patterns and make wiser decisions through a Christian framework grounded in biblical wisdom, personal development, and the Fruits of the Spirit.

Rather than viewing financial success only as accumulation or independence, RIW seeks to help people move:

Away from the trap. Toward purpose.

The destination is not simply Financial Freedom.

It is Financial Purpose.

How HWP and RIW Work Together

Horizon Wealth Planning provides the technical financial planning foundation. Root in Wisdom adds another layer by helping us understand the person behind the financial decision.

A client may technically be able to make several financially reasonable choices. RIW helps us ask:

What is driving this choice?

What are they moving away from?

What are they moving toward?

Is fear, control, or wisdom driving the decision?

What would faithful stewardship look like here?

The long-term vision is to continue developing this methodology inside HWP while also building RIW into a broader platform that can serve individuals, families, churches, coaches, and financial advisors.

The President of Operations & Execution will help turn that vision into a functioning, scalable organization.

The Role

You will work closely with the Founder across both Horizon Wealth Planning and Root in Wisdom.

The Founder will continue to lead vision, intellectual property, investment philosophy, strategic direction, major relationships, and continued development of the Root in Wisdom framework.

Your responsibility will be to help transform that vision into execution.

You should be comfortable hearing an unfinished idea, understanding the objective behind it, identifying what needs to happen next, and building the plan to make it real.

The progression we are looking for is not:

“Tell me what to do.”

It is:

“Tell me where we are going, and I will help determine how we get there.”

Horizon Wealth Planning Responsibilities

You will help lead the operating side of an established wealth management practice.

Responsibilities include:

• Oversee the day-to-day operating rhythm of Horizon Wealth Planning
• Build and improve systems, processes, workflows, and accountability
• Coordinate team members and outside resources
• Establish priorities and ensure important initiatives reach completion
• Improve the client experience from onboarding through ongoing planning
• Oversee implementation of annual planning and client-service processes
• Help ensure financial planning work is completed accurately and consistently
• Coordinate technology, vendors, systems, and operational improvements
• Identify bottlenecks before they become problems
• Develop reporting and accountability systems
• Help hire, develop, and lead future team members
• Work within Raymond James policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
• Help build an organization that can operate effectively without every decision flowing through the Founder

Root in Wisdom Responsibilities

Root in Wisdom is earlier in its development, so this side of the role requires comfort with ambiguity and building from the ground up.

You will help:

• Turn the RIW vision into an executable business plan
• Translate ideas into projects, milestones, deadlines, responsibilities, and deliverables
• Determine which opportunities should be pursued now, later, or not at all
• Coordinate development of RIW curriculum, assessments, tools, programs, and experiences
• Move concepts from brainstorming to testing to implementation
• Build operating systems and processes for a growing organization
• Coordinate marketing, content, partnerships, events, outreach, and vendors
• Develop and execute pilot programs
• Build feedback loops that show what is working
• Help develop future advisor, church, coaching, and consumer distribution models
• Coordinate outside creative, technology, marketing, and professional resources
• Establish meaningful operating and impact metrics
• Protect priorities when new opportunities and ideas emerge
• Keep major initiatives moving without requiring the Founder to manage every detail

The Person We Are Looking For

You do not need to have done this exact job before.

You do need to be someone who naturally takes ownership.

You are likely someone who:

Can bring structure to ambiguity

Understands the difference between activity and progress

Sees what needs to happen next

Can take an idea from concept through execution

Is highly organized without becoming rigid

Can manage multiple priorities without losing sight of the larger objective

Thinks strategically but is willing to work practically

Communicates clearly and directly

Can respectfully challenge the Founder when priorities are unclear

Does not need every detail defined before moving forward

Is comfortable making decisions within established authority

Can lead people while also personally executing when necessary

Builds systems rather than depending on memory

Enjoys creating something that does not yet fully exist

Understands that changing direction sometimes makes sense, but that changing direction also has a cost

Can enter creative thinking without becoming lost in endless brainstorming

Knows when discussion has produced enough information and it is time to act

We believe the financial industry has become very good at helping people accumulate money while often leaving unanswered the deeper question of what money is ultimately for.

We believe there is a better way, and we are looking for someone who wants to help build it.

Faith & Mission Alignment

Root in Wisdom is explicitly Christian.

Faith is foundational to how we think about wisdom, stewardship, money, development, purpose, and service.

A strong candidate will be comfortable working within a Christian organization and helping build a mission rooted in biblical principles.

We believe:

God’s people have a money problem.

We develop through money, not for money.

And we want to help people move beyond Financial Freedom toward Financial Purpose.

Experience in wealth management, financial planning, advisory operations, professional services, entrepreneurship, consulting, project leadership, or another founder-led organization could all be relevant.

FINRA registrations such as the Series 7, Series 66, Series 65, or other financial-services licenses are a plus, but they are not required.

We are more interested in finding the right executive operator than forcing the position into a traditional financial-advisor profile.

You increasingly become the person who makes sure the organization can carry that vision.

You will help turn possibility into execution.

Together, we intend to build something that helps people make wiser decisions with money and live with greater faithfulness, wisdom, and purpose.

Salary: $120,000
