Compensation: $80,000–$150,000 base salary (commensurate with experience), plus incentive compensation for new plan sales and participant outcomes

As we scale toward our 2030 growth goals, we're building out a dedicated retirement plan practice to deepen relationships with existing plan sponsors and expand our footprint in the business/qualified plan market.

Position Summary

This role owns the full lifecycle of our retirement plan business: servicing and retaining our existing book of 401(k)/qualified plans, prospecting and closing new plan business in the business market, and delivering participant-level education and advice. This is a hybrid relationship-management and sales role requiring deep technical fluency in retirement plan design, fiduciary responsibilities, and investment menu construction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan Management & Retention

• Serve as primary relationship contact for existing 401(k)/retirement plan clients, including plan sponsors and plan committees
• Conduct plan reviews, fee benchmarking, and investment menu due diligence on a recurring cycle
• Support plan sponsors with fiduciary governance, IPS maintenance, and compliance timelines (Form 5500, ADV, audits)
• Coordinate with recordkeepers, TPAs, and ERISA counsel as needed

New Business Development

• Prospect and market retirement plan services to businesses in JKS's target market (using referral networks, COIs, existing client relationships, and outbound business development)
• Lead finalist meetings and plan sponsor presentations; manage the RFP/proposal process
• Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified opportunities with regular reporting to firm leadership

Participant Engagement

• Conduct enrollment meetings, one-on-one participant consultations, and group education sessions
• Provide participant-level guidance on contribution rates, investment allocation, and retirement readiness
• Identify rollover, wealth management, and cross-servicing opportunities within the participant base where appropriate

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant financial services experience, including 3–5 years specifically in the retirement plan/qualified plan space
• Active licenses: FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 or 66 (must maintain in good standing)
• Working knowledge of ERISA, fiduciary standards (3(21)/3(38)), and DOL/IRS plan compliance requirements
• Demonstrated new business development or sales track record
• Strong presentation skills for both C-suite/plan sponsor and individual participant audiences
• CRM discipline and ability to manage a multi-stage sales pipeline

Preferred Qualifications

• Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF), Qualified Plan Financial Consultant (QPFC), or similar designation
• Existing book of business or COI network in the retirement plan space
• Experience with plan recordkeeping platforms

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $80,000–$150,000, based on experience and book of business brought to the role
