Accountant Key Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting functions, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
• The Accountant will maintain accurate and organized financial records with a strong focus on data integrity
• Utilize Excel for data queries, extraction, analysis, and reporting
• The Accountant will assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Support budgeting, financial tracking, and reporting across organizational functions
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and applicable regulations
• Collaborate with leadership to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency
• The Accountant will assist with audits and prepare supporting documentation as needed

What We're Looking For in an Accountant

• 3+ years of accounting experience; nonprofit or public-sector experience preferred
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, queries, and reporting functions
• High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining data integrity
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently while also supporting a team-oriented environment
• Strong sense of accountability and discretion when handling confidential financial information
