Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to establish patients' needs and collaboratively develop tailored treatment plans.

• Administer individual, couples, and family therapy sessions utilizing modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy.

• Lead psychoeducational and support groups, targeting common concerns such as stress management, substance abuse recovery, and coping strategies.

• Work with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to facilitate comprehensive care for patients.

• Provide crisis intervention services and support during acute mental health emergencies to ensure patient safety.

• Educate patients about their mental health conditions, treatment options, and available resources in the community for ongoing support.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and secure.

• Participate actively in regular case consultations, team collaborations, and ongoing training sessions to refine skills and knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse clientele reflecting various backgrounds and experiences. Our patient base includes individuals struggling with mental health issues ranging from childhood trauma to chronic mental illness, as well as families navigating relational challenges. An emphasis on culturally competent care ensures that you deliver therapeutic interventions tailored to each patient's unique circumstances and cultural context.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Virginia.

• In-depth knowledge of various mental health diagnoses, evidence-based treatment modalities, and therapeutic practices.

• Demonstrated experience conducting comprehensive assessments and implementing customized treatment plans.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to foster relationships with clients and team members alike.

Preferred Experience\n

• Minimum of two years of direct experience in providing mental health therapy, ideally within an outpatient setting.
