Vice President, Enterprise Research

Senior leadership role overseeing Medtronic's global research, technology, and innovation capabilities across advanced technology, preclinical science, and engineering. Reports to the Chief Technology Officer and directs multiple teams to identify, mature, and transition breakthrough technologies into product portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Lead global teams in advanced technology research, preclinical science, and engineering research operations
• Direct identification, incubation, maturation, and transition of breakthrough technologies into business portfolios
• Oversee clinical trial execution, protocol development, data collection, and regulatory compliance documentation
• Evaluate new product ideas and strategic extensions to address market needs and drive revenue growth
• Shape enterprise technology strategy, research investments, and external innovation partnerships as CTO team member

Requirements

• Advanced business knowledge and general management experience leading multiple functional teams
• Deep domain expertise in research, technology, or engineering with broader cross-functional experience
• Baccalaureate degree or equivalent international qualification
• Experience directing clinical trial execution and regulatory documentation processes
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement mid- to long-term organizational strategy
• Experience managing significant budgets and P&L accountability across geographies or business units
