Opportunity:

RN - MedSurg

Job Details:

• 13-week contract with 12-hour variable day and night shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Float requirements to all inpatient units
• Post Surgical Care Unit providing care for pre and post-surgical adult and geriatric patients in a 40-bed inpatient area
• Nurse to patient ratio: days/evenings 1:4 or 1:5, nights 1:5-1:7
• Fast-paced unit averaging 10-15 admissions per day with 90-95% occupancy during the week and average length of stay of 2-3 days
• Must have ability to multitask, prioritize patient care based on acuity, and work as part of a team
• Required equipment: Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, and Alaris pumps
• Epic charting experience required
• Minimum 2+ years of Med Surg experience with recent hospital experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Required certifications: WI RN License and BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Any color scrubs permitted

This facility is a full-service hospital offering a wide range of inpatient and surgical services, including a dedicated Post Surgical Care Unit that serves pre and post-surgical adult and geriatric patients. The 40-bed unit operates at high occupancy and supports a high volume of daily admissions, reflecting the facility's commitment to delivering quality patient care across a continuum of surgical services.
