Human Resources Generalist

We are seeking a dynamic, hands‑on HR Generalist to join our team in a production and manufacturing environment. This is a true generalist role with an initial heavy focus on full‑cycle recruiting to build out our workforce. As a vital link between our leadership team and frontline employees, you will spend time on the production floor, building relationships, enforcing policies, and coaching staff. Additionally, you will partner closely with our HR leadership to implement our newly purchased ADP Talent module and serve as the essential backup for our payroll department. Key Responsibilities Employee Relations & Floor Presence Floor Presence: Regularly walk the manufacturing and production floors to maintain visibility, build trust, and address employee relations issues in real time. Policy Enforcement: Consistently enforce and uphold company HR policies, safety procedures, and operational regulations. Coaching & Training: Provide guidance, coaching, and training on HR policies and best practices to both frontline employees and shift supervisors. Diverse Workforce Communication: Effectively engage, support, and communicate with a diverse demographic of employees, including large groups of non‑English speaking team members. Talent Acquisition & Contractor Management High‑Volume Recruiting: Drive full‑cycle recruitment initiatives to build an active pipeline of talent for manufacturing and production roles (heavy initial focus). Vendor Management: Use a simple Vendor Management System (VMS) to coordinate and manage relationships, compliance, and headcount with contractor and temporary staffing agencies. Systems, Payroll & Admin Support ADP Talent Implementation: Support HR leadership in configuring, launching, and optimizing the newly purchased ADP Talent module. Payroll Backup: Learn the in-house ADP payroll system to successfully act as the primary backup and support to the payroll processor when needed. Job Requirements Experience & Qualifications Industry Experience: Proven HR experience within a manufacturing, production, or high‑volume industrial environment is required. Language Skills: Bilingual English/Spanish (or other dominant local demographic languages) is highly preferred/required to effectively support and communicate with our non‑English speaking workforce. System Acumen: Hands‑on experience utilizing ADP (for payroll or talent/ATS tracking) is highly desirable; comfort using a VMS or basic staffing software is preferred. Education: We value real‑world production experience and strong employee relations skills over a title—degree requirements are flexible for candidates with a strong manufacturing HR track record. Strong communication skills with the ability to navigate conversations with both non‑technical floor staff and shift supervisors.
