HR Generalist Compensation: $35 - $40 an hour (non-exempt) Location: Blaine, MN (hybrid) About the Job Lakeside HR Group has been engaged by our client to recruit for an HR Generalist to join their team. Our client is the premier environmental services provider in the Twin Cities metropolitan area providing waste and recycling collection to the public and private sectors since 1988. This role is responsible for the employee experience across the full lifecycle, employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, engagement, and learning & development. Working to build a strong, consistent culture in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Talent Management & Employee Experience Own the full onboarding experience from pre-hire through orientation Manage the candidate experience, ensuring every interaction reflects the organization's culture and commitment to its mission Partner with the Director and hiring managers to develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill roles Onboarding & Offboarding Own the full onboarding experience from pre-hire through orientation Coordinate background checks, E-Verify, drug screens, DOT physicals, and related requirements Conduct new hire orientations and ensure completion of onboarding paperwork Coordinate offboarding activities in accordance with established procedures Employee Relations Respond to day-to-day HR inquiries related to payroll, benefits, HRIS, and timekeeping Support investigations, disciplinary actions, and employee relations matters Build strong relationships and trust with employees at all levels Facilitate employee engagement initiatives and stay interviews Administer leaves of absence and coordinate with payroll and benefits Learning & Development Deliver manager development programs and compliance training Assist in designing scalable training solutions for a distributed workforce Partner with leadership on workforce planning, organizational design, and growth strategy Help build competency models and career pathways Required Skills & Qualifications: Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred 24 years of progressive HR experience across multiple functional areas Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism Experience with HRIS and payroll systems Strong communication and facilitation skills; able to lead orientations, trainings, or policy rollouts Benefits: State-of-the-art onboard routing software, industry-leading safety training, driver recognition program, uniforms, and boot allowance.
