Vinton Construction Company–Two Rivers, WI 54241 Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant to join our accounting team for our highway construction and aggregates company. The ideal candidate will support various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards. The Accountant will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of financial data, managing accounts payable and receivable, and supporting month-end close processes. Duties Perform data entry and maintain accurate records within accounting software such as QuickBooks and Vista by Viewpoint Enter weekly payroll and make the associated tax and benefit payments. Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment reconciliation Assist with balance sheet reconciliation, general ledger accounting, bank reconciliations, account analysis and related monthly and quarterly reporting Conduct account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data across various accounts Assist with financial analysis, aggregate inventory and month-end closing activities Handle confidential information with discretion Utilize Microsoft Office tools such as Excel for data analysis, spreadsheets creation, and report generation Assist with accounting functions in related entities and work with corporate controllers Qualifications Proven experience in accounting, payroll or finance roles; Strong understanding of financial concepts, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger management Experience in accounting and/or payroll software a plus Ability to handle confidential information responsibly with high attention to detail Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment This position offers an environment for engaged individuals to thrive and contribute to the success of our organization. #J-18808-Ljbffr
