Facilities Technician – Hillwood Estate, Museum & Gardens Job Description: A maintenance role unlike any other. What You'll Do Perform hands‑on maintenance, repair, and installation across the 24‑acre campus, working in 12 different buildings. Handle HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and other building systems. Maintain climate control and humidity management systems critical to protecting irreplaceable collections and spaces. Provide on‑call availability and emergency response support as required. What We’re Looking For 2‑4 years of experience in facilities maintenance across one or more trades (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or general building systems), or completion of a technical trade program. Curiosity and a growth mindset; a desire to keep learning and expanding skills. Positive attitude and enjoyment of teamwork. Relevant licenses or certifications (EPA Refrigerant, MD Stationary Engineer, or equivalent) a plus, or the drive to earn them with support. Comfort with physical work, including mechanical rooms, outdoor work, and ladders. Familiarity with CMMS platforms and basic computer tools. What We Offer $25 per hour, full‑time, overtime eligible.
