Radiology - CT Tech

Radiology Technologist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Four 10-hour shifts, 7:00 am - 5:30 pm.

The Radiology Technologist will be responsible for performing CT scans and Mammography exams, ensuring high-quality images and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Assure accurate demographic information and high-quality images for all CT scans and Mammography exams.
• Perform daily QA for CT and Mammography, recording data for compliance.
• Operate PACS system to ensure correct transmission of images with accurate data for readings by radiologists.
• Review physician orders to confirm appropriate examinations based on clinical history.
• Utilize safety measures and protective devices for patients of all ages, particularly for vulnerable populations.
• Maintain a safe environment, ensuring accessibility and minimizing risks of falls and injuries.
• Communicate effectively with patients, ensuring understanding through clear verbal and nonverbal cues.
• Document procedures accurately in Meditech Computer System.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• A.S. Degree in Radiologic Technology preferred but not required.
• Advanced Registration in CAT Scan or Mammography preferred.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification preferred and must be obtained within one year from date of hire.
• Massachusetts License to practice Radiologic Technology is required.
• CPR Certification required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; additional languages preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge.
