Responsibilities The Material Handler ensures that all technicians and internal teams have the necessary parts, materials, and supplies to perform their work effectively. Pick and replenish computer-related parts and supplies for team members in repair, production, and warehouse departments. Prepare pallets for production by removing vendor packaging materials including wrapping, bands, and excess cardboard. Collect and dispose of computer box packaging and cardboard utilizing a tilt truck. Support production processes by pre-assembling packing materials for production staff. Monitor repair holding bins to ensure received materials are properly paired with devices requiring repair; once matched, deliver the devices and materials to repair technicians. Perform assigned daily cycle counts of inventory, ensuring adequate inventory of materials and parts to support internal and external customer requirements. Operate forklifts and other electric or manual pallet jacks. Core Competencies Nimble Learning Customer Focus Action Oriented Courage Persuaded Decision Quality Manages Conflict Optimize Work Processes Minimum Skills, Abilities, and Requirements High School Diploma or Equivalent 1+ years of progressive experience in warehouse, inventory management, stocking or another related warehouse or inventory role Detail oriented and ability to accurately enter data and other information relevant to manage inventory Creative, and results oriented mindset with strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with others Curiosity to identify and solve issues and contribute toward process improvement Self-directed work style, able to work autonomously, prioritize and deliver results Technology and Systems ERP System (preferably Infor CSI) Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) Work Environment, Physical, and Mental Demands This role will primarily perform their work in a production warehouse environment and interact with team members throughout the facility in both office and production warehouse environments. The Material Handler will work with and around a variety of industrial warehouse tools, equipment and vehicles. Incumbents may be expected to do any of the following: Use tools, machinery, or equipment at their workstation for long periods up to an entire shift Use computer keyboard, mobile device, desktop computer, laptop, calculator, telephone, walkie talkie, copy machine and other production warehouse tools or controls Mentally focus on tasks and apply sound reasoning and judgement Review documents, monitors or displays with potentially small print Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, face shields, hard hats, masks, gloves or other PPE if required Move through the production warehouse facility on potentially uneven or slippery surface Follow all safety process and respond to safety controls such as fire alarm, forklift horns, and machinery alerts Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and practices Reach under, over, or around workstation, equipment, machinery or other objects such as bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and climbing to perform work Lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds and potentially heavier with proper equipment Typical workdays and hours are M-F 8am-4:30pm.
