RN Acute Care Transplant/Thoracic

Location: UCHealth UCHlth Anschutz Inpt Pavilion, Aurora, Colorado, United States Department: Highly specialized in the care of all solid organ transplants (kidney, liver, pancreas, heart/lung), thoracic surgery, and hepatology. Pioneers in liver transplantation. The only academic medical center with a dedicated Transplant specialty unit in the Rocky Mountain region. FTE: Full Time, 0.9 (72.00 hours per pay period – 2 weeks) Shift: Day and Night Rotation Pay: $35.29 – $54.71 per hour, dependent on relevant experience Minimum Requirements Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years’ experience. State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider and any relevant life support certification as determined at position level. Minimum 6 months of RN nursing experience. BLS certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, with card in hand before start date; card must be current within 60 days of hire. Job Responsibilities Provides top–scope practice in direct patient care utilizing the nursing process. Values a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve exceptional outcomes. Prioritizes wellness, patient perspective, and evidence‑based practice. Models proficiency through precepting those new to healthcare and/or UCHealth. Welcomes new knowledge in a fast‑paced, innovative clinical environment. Contributes to secure safety and quality at the point of care. Direct care includes specialty Acute Care (Med‑Surg) units of moderate to high patient acuity. Integrates AMSN’s core curriculum and specialty certification standards into evidence‑based care models for each unit. Collaborates with Clinical Educators to support individualized specialty education and training for competency validation throughout clinical orientation.
