Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel Job

We're hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in Grafton, WI where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. The facility is a Level III Trauma Center with a Level II NICU and a Primary Stroke Center. Patient types range from neonate to geriatric, inpatient and ED, including deliveries and open-heart cases. Charting and equipment include EPIC, Puritan Bennett and Hamilton ventilators, Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science.
• Current state respiratory license in good standing.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years clinical respiratory therapy experience.
• CRT or RRT required.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP.
• Clinical skills required: arterial blood gas sampling (draw ABGs), ventilator management, weaning and extubation, BiPAP, CPAP, and aerosolized therapies (nebs).
• Experience working with neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients, including deliveries and infant ventilator management.
• Ability to function on code blue/RRT teams.
• Electronic health record experience: EPIC preferred.
• Ability and willingness to float throughout the facility, including the Emergency Department.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience placing arterial lines and performing intubations.
• Prior NICU experience, including familiarity with C-section deliveries and infant ventilators.
• Prior experience in a Level III trauma or similar high-acuity hospital setting.

Assignment Details

• Standard hours per week: 36.
• Scheduling: weekend rotation approximately every 3rd weekend.
• Orientation: 1-2 shifts based on comfort level.
• No on-call requirement.
• Holiday expectations: one summer and one winter holiday.
• Time off approval: up to 7 days permitted.
• Floating: throughout the facility, including the Emergency Department.
