Industrial Mechanic

The right individual will have a can-do attitude, the ability to be part of a team while operating independently, and consistently performs to very high standards.

A versatile industrial mechanic installs, troubleshoots, and repairs complex factory machinery spanning mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. This multi-skilled role requires performing preventative maintenance, executing emergency repairs to minimize downtime, and adapting quickly to diverse plant equipment and new technologies.

• Diagnose and repair: Find the root cause of equipment failures in motors, conveyors, pumps, and automated lines, then fix or replace parts.
• Preventative maintenance: Run routine checks, clean and lubricate parts, and service systems to stop unexpected breakdowns.
• Cross-discipline tasks: Handle basic electrical troubleshooting, pipe fitting, and welding as needed.
• System testing: Test run repaired machinery to verify safe and correct operational performance.
• Documentation: Log maintenance tasks and order replacement parts using computerized tracking systems.

Required skills and qualifications

• Core competencies: Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic industrial electricity.
• Blueprint literacy: Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Tool proficiency: Skilled with hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and welding gear.
• Experience: High school diploma plus trade school certification or proven hands-on industrial maintenance experience.
