Posting Details Posting Summary Job Title Assistant Men's Wrestling Coach Division Office of the President Department Athletics Department Work Status Full Time Position Category Staff FLSA Exempt Pay Range Exempt Salary Range $45,000 - $60,000 Fund Source State Support Job Summary The Men’s Wrestling Assistant Coach position for the Morgan StateAthletics Department will assist with the supervision,organization, development, and implementation of a nationallycompetitive intercollegiate wrestling program Job Duties Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland, is seeking aninnovative professional for the Men’sWrestling Assistant Coachposition for the Morgan State Athletics Department. This is anexceptional opportunity for a motivated and accomplished leader tojoin the resurgence of Morgan State Wrestling with an innovativedepartment valuing academic and athletic experiences. The assistantcoach will assist with the supervision, organization, development,and implementation of a nationally competitive intercollegiatewrestling program. Assist with practice and competition day management andactivities Assist with team/program planning (travel, budget management,community service, study hall, etc.) within institutional budgetand policy guidelines. Assist with all recruiting and roster management operations(Scholarships, visits, etc.) Assist with the planning and organization of camps andclinics Support the academic success ( APR & GPA ) and developmentof student-athletes Represent the university at conferences, regional, state, andnational events relating to wrestling. Manage and maintain important relationships withstakeholders Know and comply with all NCAA, Conference, Institutional rulesand regulations, including passing the NCAA Coaches CertificationExam annually Performs other duties as assigned Requested Minimum Qualifications Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from an accreditedcollege or university is required. Experience: At least two years wrestling coaching experience isrequired. Must be CPR certified (or willing to obtaincertification). Must have a valid driver’s license. Other Preferences for Consideration Preferences: Five years plus of coaching experience is preferred. Experience with NCAA Wrestling programs. Demonstrated track record with recruiting and knowledge of NCAArules and regulations Possess a valid driver’s license and meet the requirements todrive a university vehicle Awareness of the RTC, International Competition, USAWrestling. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of college wrestling coaching, including high-levelwrestling talent development, NCAA compliance familiarity Ability to recruit Posting Detail Information Posting Number
