The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in DeWitt that are seeking Shipping & Receiving Clerks. Key Responsibilities

• Accurately receive, inspect, and document incoming raw materials and finished goods.
• Prepare and package outgoing products, ensuring proper labeling and documentation for shipment.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain organized inventory in the warehouse, including cycle counting and discrepancy resolution.
• Coordinate with production and logistics teams to ensure timely material flow.
• Load and unload trucks, verifying contents against manifests and bills of lading.
• Perform routine checks and maintenance on warehouse equipment.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-3 years experience in shipping/receiving within a manufacturing environment
• Proficient in using forklifts and pallet jacks with valid certification (or ability to obtain)
• Experience with inventory management software (e.g., ERP systems)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience operating a forklift, particularly a stand-up reach truck.
• Proficient in using an ERP system for inventory management (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to perform basic data entry and navigate shipping software (e.g., FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip).
