Interventional Pain PhysicianLifekind Health is seeking a highly skilled and procedure-focused Interventional Pain Physician to join our growing fee-for-service pain management division. This role is designed for a physician who is passionate about interventional spine and pain procedures, enjoys a high procedural volume, and thrives in both clinic and Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) settings.This is a traditional fee-for-service interventional pain position with a strong emphasis on procedural care and ASC utilization. While this physician will not practice within the Unitized Transdisciplinary Care (UTC) model directly, they will work collaboratively with UTC teams by referring appropriate patients who may benefit from comprehensive multidisciplinary support services.The ideal candidate is efficient, technically skilled, patient-focused, and motivated to build a strong interventional practice with substantial procedural autonomy and surgical center access.Our mission is to bring care that's whole, human, and healing. Our team of medical doctors, psychologists, chiropractors, acupuncturists, and dietitians work together within a revolutionary transdisciplinary model that addresses the quadruple aim of healthcare: enhancing patient experience, improving patient health, reducing healthcare costs, and increasing employee satisfaction.Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm with rotating weekends; on-call weekendsLocation: Rancho Mirage, San Jacinto, or Victorville, CA - must be open to float to any of our 8 clinicsClinical & Procedural Responsibilities:Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute and chronic pain conditionsDevelop individualized treatment plans focused on interventional pain managementPerform high-volume interventional pain procedures including:Epidural steroid injectionsFacet injectionsMedial branch blocksRadio frequency ablationsSI joint injectionsPeripheral nerve blocksSpinal cord stimulator trials and implantsMinimally invasive lumbar decompression procedures (if trained)Vertiflex, kyphoplasty, basivertebral nerve ablation, and other advanced procedures (if trained)Utilize fluoroscopic and/or ultrasound guidance for proceduresMaintain a strong procedural schedule within the ASC settingParticipate in ASC block scheduling and procedural optimizationReview and interpret imaging studies relevant to pain diagnosis and treatmentMaintain timely and accurate EMR documentationSupervision of APPsCollaborate with APPs, referring providers, and surgical center staff to ensure continuity of careReferral & Collaborative Care ExpectationsIdentify patients who may benefit from UTC or multidisciplinary services and facilitate appropriate referralsMaintain collaborative relationships with internal medical teams and external referral partnersSupport ethical, evidence-based treatment planning and responsible prescribing practicesOperational & Professional ExpectationsMaintain high standards of patient satisfaction and professionalismContribute to clinic growth and procedural volume developmentParticipate in quality improvement initiatives and compliance programsAdhere to all federal, state, payer, and ASC regulatory requirementsOur Ideal Candidate will have the following qualifications:Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine and an accredited pain fellowship program, fellowship training in Interventional Pain ManagementActive, unrestricted medical license in the state of California; Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) requiredBoard Certified or Board Eligible in Pain MedicineActive DEA registrationStrong fluoroscopic-guided procedural experienceExcellent communication and patient relationship skillsExperience in a high-volume interventional pain or ASC environmentExperience with advanced neuromodulation and minimally invasive spine procedures preferredAnesthesia, PM&R, Neurology, or Internal Medicine background with pain fellowship preferredExisting referral relationships or market presence preferred but not requiredAt Lifekind, we believe our employees deserve the best.
