Network and Systems Administrator vacancy in Akron USA Network and Systems Administrator We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network and Systems Administrator to join our growing team in Akron. As a Network and Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining our company's network infrastructure, ensuring its stability, security, and efficient operation. This position requires strong technical knowledge and excellent problem-solving skills. Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, and WiFi access points Monitor network performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise Implement security measures to protect the network from potential threats Manage user accounts and permissions on the network Set up and maintain virtual private networks (VPN) Administer backups of critical systems to ensure data protection Provide technical support to end-users for hardware and software related issues Stay updated with the latest advancements in networking technology to improve our company's infrastructure Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Network and Systems Administrator or similar role Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols, and network troubleshooting tools Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V Familiarity with firewalls, proxies, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and other network security tools Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server operating systems (2008/2012/2016) Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude towards resolving issues Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment Salary We offer a competitive salary of $1600 per month for this position.
