Data Product Manager

Product strategy and roadmap
Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for a portfolio of data products aligned to business goals
Identify user needs through interviews, usage analysis, and stakeholder engagement
Prioritize the backlog by value, effort, and risk; make trade-off decisions transparently
Build business cases and define success metrics (adoption, time to insight, data quality, cost to serve, revenue or savings enabled)
Delivery and lifecycle management
Write clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for data engineering and analytics teams
Lead agile delivery: sprint planning, backlog refinement, releases, and stakeholder demos
Manage the full product lifecycle from discovery through launch, iteration, and retirement
Define data contracts, SLAs, and service levels for each product (freshness, accuracy, availability)
Data quality, governance, and trust
Partner with governance teams to embed ownership, lineage, cataloging, and access policies into each product
Ensure privacy, security, and regulatory requirements (GDPR, CCPA, industry rules) are met by design
Establish quality metrics and monitoring, and drive resolution of issues at the source
Adoption and value
Drive discoverability, documentation, and onboarding so products are actually used
Create feedback loops with consumers track usage and satisfaction
Support self-service analytics, and enable AI/ML and GenAI use cases through well-prepared data
