Job Description

As a Security Officer Shopping Center Unarmed Patrol in Rockville, MD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide welcoming customer service to tenants and visitors. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and support a professional environment. Pay Rate: $20.24 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of commercial property buildings, parking areas, common areas, loading zones, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials or authorization as required, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and documenting observations and actions taken.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation while communicating professionally with property management, tenants, and emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
