Senior Engineer -Power Island Coordinator

Location & Working Conditions Relocation Authorized: National - Single Telework Type: Full-Time Office/Project Work Location: Reston, VA Job Summary A combined cycle project has numerous interfaces between the power island equipment (gas turbine, steam turbine, HRSG) and the Bechtel scope. The Power Island Coordinator will manage the exchange of information between Bechtel and the Power Island vendor, resolve interfaces, create tracking lists, run action item meetings, and coordinate model reviews to support the project schedule and client satisfaction. The role will also collaborate with other Power Island Coordinators to share best practices. This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and requires at least three days of in-person attendance per week. Major Responsibilities Create and maintain the action item list between Bechtel and the Power Island Equipment Vendor. Conduct periodic action item list meetings to review status and keep the schedule on track. Coordinate and participate in CADD model review meetings to identify and resolve physical and data interfaces. Provide oversight and guidance to Power Island Coordinators for other combined cycle projects. Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8–10 years of relevant experience, or 12–14 years of relevant work experience. Required Knowledge and Skills Strong written and oral communication; ability to summarize interface requirements. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and TEAMS for meeting minutes, action items, and virtual meetings. Ability to read project schedules and identify key engineering milestones. Knowledge of the engineering process and required inputs for major design deliverables in construction. Prior experience performing design work on combined cycle power plants. Experience with Aconex and major power plant equipment interfaces for supporting structures and auxiliary systems. Highly organized and collaborative team player.
