Senior Associate Scientist - Discovery Research, Regeneron Cell Medicines

As a Senior Associate Scientist, typical day responsibilities include: Contribute to preclinical research and development of CAR/TCR T cell therapies in solid tumor indications. Characterize genetically modified primary human T cells via immunophenotyping using multi-color flow cytometry and molecular assays (PCR, library preps for NGS, RNA-Seq). Develop and perform immunological functional assays to assess immune cell activation, anti-tumor cytotoxicity, proliferation, and cytokine secretion to evaluate CAR/TCR T-cell therapeutic efficacy. Design experiments independently and contribute to project direction. Maintain an electronic lab notebook and document experiment results. Review and present research data to the functional team. Strong understanding of immunology and cancer biology. Extensive experience isolating primary human immune cells and mammalian cell culture, including primary human T lymphocytes. Experience with in‑vitro immunological studies and functional T-cell assays using multi‑color flow cytometry, ELISA, and cytotoxicity assays. Gene delivery into T cells or tumor cells (lentiviral vector transduction, CRISPR/Cas9 editing, and mRNA electroporation) is a plus.
