We are a public accounting firm looking for an experienced tax professional to join our team. The firm provides tax planning, tax return preparation, merger and acquisition consulting, and management and business consulting to companies in the greater New York area.

Job Description

·         Preparation of federal and state income tax returns for individuals, businesses and fiduciaries

·         Review of staff prepared federal and state income tax returns

·         Preparation and review of clients' books and records

·         Analyze financial statements

·         Train junior accounting staff

·         Special projects

·         Interact with clients

Desired Skills and Experience

·         Must have CPA license and 5 - 7 years of experience working in a CPA firm

·         Self-motivated, demonstrates initiative and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities

·         Ability to proactively manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

·         Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills

·         Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office

·         Proficient in QuickBooks

·         High-level analytical and reasoning skills

·         Attention to detail

·         Experience in tax research

·         Ability to work in a team environment

·         Lacerte experience a plus
