Manager, RecruitmentThe Manager, Recruitment leads the execution and continuous improvement of a strategic, data-driven recruitment and admissions cycle. This role partners closely with the Associate Director, Assistant Director, and Program Managers across the HS Scholars NY team to build and sustain a robust pipeline that results in a competitive and diverse class of 9th grade Scholars each year. As the primary point of contact for recruitment, the Manager, Recruitment drives outreach strategy, cultivates key partnerships, and ensures operational excellence across all stages of the admissions process.SEO Scholars is a free, eight-year, academic program that transforms public high school students in New York City, San Francisco, North Carolina, and Miami into college graduates. SEO Scholars successfully educates and mentors students to and through college. 100% of Scholars are accepted into four-year colleges, 85% of Scholars graduate with a Bachelor's degree, and 80% are first-generation college graduates.The Manager, Recruitment is responsible for:Executing comprehensive recruitment and pipeline strategies aligned to organizational goals by identifying and cultivating sources to attract high-quality applicants.Recommending and implementing innovative approaches to strengthen recruitment outcomes.Building new relationships and managing existing relationships with school and community partners.Planning and delivering recruitment presentations, workshops, and information sessions.Maintaining thorough documentation of all outreach and engagement efforts to ensure team alignment.Overseeing the admissions process by reviewing student applications, recommending candidates for interviews, and facilitating team deliberation sessions to finalize scholar selection.Ensuring a smooth and equitable admissions process from application through acceptance.The Manager, Recruitment also manages:Tracking, analyzing, and reporting on key metrics throughout the recruitment cycle to internal and external stakeholders including staff, applicants, and program partners.Managing Salesforce database and other systems to ensure accurate tracking toward recruitment and admissions goals.Overseeing admissions communications to ensure accurate and timely notifications to applicants and families.Managing event logistics for Interview Days and other recruitment initiatives.Recommending and implementing improvements to data and systems each cycle to ensure efficient and effective practices.Additionally, the Manager, Recruitment maintains:Accurate program data to inform Scholar support and program planning.Weekly reports to support Program Managers in Scholar advising.Intervention efforts to support continuous improvement in 9th grade Scholar success.Timely distribution of progress reports, report cards, and other key Scholar materials.Facilitating programming when needed.Qualifications include:Bachelor's degree required.3+ years of experience in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial organization or company.Experience working directly with youth required.Competencies and skills include:Demonstrated track record of successfully executing recruitment processes, with experience using online recruiting and data management tools, including Salesforce.Demonstrated passion for closing the opportunity and academic achievement gap for students at the high school and college level.Data-driven and results-oriented, with an unquestionable commitment to high quality work.Strong written and verbal communication skills, including an ability to clearly and effectively present content in a public forum, engage in active listening, and command the attention of large groups of students.Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build professional relationships and deliver constructive, honest and productive feedback to Scholars and family members.Demonstrated track record of successfully managing multiple ongoing projects, with the ability to self-motivate and work independently toward programmatic goals when needed.Intermediate to advanced Excel, analysis, and reporting skills with an affinity towards data-driven outcomes.Bilingual Spanish/English is highly preferred; other languages skills are welcome!SEO offers a competitive compensation package and comprehensive benefits plan including low-cost health, vision, and dental options, a generous holiday schedule and PTO policies, disability coverage, fully paid time off for new parents, and employer contributions to health reimbursement and retirement accounts.
