RN SUPERVISOR NEEDED- IMMEDIATE HIREAssist the Director of Nursing and Associate Director of Nursing in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Department. Maintains quality clinical care for residents/patients in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the Facility.Supervises the clinical care planning and delivery processes to ensure the coordination of quality patient care. Reviews and updates the care plan accordinglyAssesses residents/clients upon admission and periodically as conditions changePerforms rounds to evaluate patient conditionProvides or assists with the delivery of direct patient care when indicated, including activities of daily living, meal assistance, medication and treatment administration, and leisure activities when indicatedObtains and implements Physician Orders, checking for accuracy and completenessCommunicates between shifts regarding changes in resident/patient conditionsEnsures a safe and secure environment for patients/residents, staff and visitorsProvides clinical assessment to MD/NPs on call for quality outcomes delivered to patientsPlans, implements and evaluates the clinical competencies and on-going educational/orientation needs of the staff.Participate in Facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies as requested by the Administrator or Director of Nursing ServicesParticipate in developing, implementing, and periodically updating the resident's written discharge planEnsure that a sufficient number of nursing staff is available for each shift to ensure that quality care is maintainedMake daily rounds of the Nursing Services Department to ensure that all nursing service personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards. Report findings to the Director of Nursing Services.Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferredCurrent registration and license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state employed inPeripheral IV certificationMinimum 5+ years nursing experience in a hospital, nursing home or other healthcare setting and a minimum 1-year experience as a nurse supervisorCPR/BLS certifiedStrong knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care centers.The ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language required, knowledge of other language helpful
