Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to determine their physical therapy needs, establishing customized treatment plans that align with their goals and medical history.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy techniques, rehabilitative exercises, and modalities to facilitate recovery.
• Collaborate with medical staff and multidisciplinary teams to update and revise treatment plans as needed, ensuring a comprehensive approach to patient care.
• Educate patients and their families about exercises, rehabilitation techniques, and lifestyle modifications to support their recovery journey.
• Mentor and guide physical therapy students and other healthcare professionals by providing insightful observations and fostering their development.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the clinic's service offerings.
• Maintain accurate and compliant patient records in alignment with regulatory requirements, including documentation of treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with adult patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal issues. A strong understanding of various orthopedic conditions and effective communication with patients of varying backgrounds will be essential. The ideal candidate will be passionate about optimizing patient outcomes and empathetic towards their emotional and physical challenges during rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• Current and valid California Physical Therapist License is required.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or related field is mandatory.
• Strong manual therapy skills, with an emphasis on techniques relevant to orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, allowing for effective interaction with patients, families, and colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
