Accounting Supervisor Senior

Position Summary This position is responsible for supervising, organizing and directing the activities of the division Accounts Receivable function, maintaining the general ledger system and administering/maintaining the fixed asset function. The position is also responsible for providing information and support as required by management for decision‑making purposes. Responsibilities Ensure compliance with corporate objectives and systems for accounting Audit divisional procedures to ensure compliance relative to divisional self assessment internal control program Prepare and assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, reviews and analysis Participate, coordinate and review month‑end and year‑end closings Provide timely reports as required to division, group and corporate on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis Maintain fixed asset inventory records including the taking and reconciling of fixed asset physical inventories in accordance with corporate accounting policies Oversee accounts payable function Train, develop, assist and instruct direct reports according to company policy and sound employee relations Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Accounting 3-5 years of Accounting Experience Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) Certification or Advanced Degree Preferred Closing Statement The essential functions have been provided as example of the type of work performed by employees assigned to this job classification.
