Compounding Pharmacy TechnicianThe Compounding Technician is responsible for lab functions that may include formula and compounding record preparation, and compounding and labeling a variety of non-sterile compounded medications. All duties are performed efficiently and accurately under the general supervision of a licensed pharmacist. The Compounding Lab Technician demonstrates a commitment to the mission of the Pharmacy and goals of Organization.Maintain a working knowledge of applicable pharmacy rules and regulationsFollow all policies and proceduresStrong comprehension of USP 795Have a strong working knowledge of pharmacy software.Enter new compounds into dispensing pharmacy softwarePrioritize and prepare formula and compound recordsCompound medications accurately and efficientlyFile necessary paperworkPerform routine cleaning and maintenance dutiesPull outdated medications for destructionMaintain compliance with Company and HIPAA patient confidentiality requirementsPerform other duties as assigned including, but not limited to: Perform inventories and ordering, assist in finding, stopping, expediting specific orders, project work***Must be comfortable standing at a lab bench the entirety of the day. Will be required to wear gloves, hairnet & N95 mask for duration of shift except for breaks and while on lunch.Job Qualification/Requirements:Previous Lab experience or Pharmacy Compounding Technician experienceOR Degree in SciencesThis job is fulltime Monday-Friday onsite, day shift in Madison, WI.
