Consulting Analyst Date: May 14, 2026 Location: Phoenix, AZ, US; Tualatin, OR, US Company: Black & Veatch Family of Companies (Black & Veatch Corporation) The Opportunity We are seeking an Analyst in Black & Veatch’s Infrastructure Advisory Business to support our rapidly growing business. As an Analyst, you will have the opportunity to contribute to delivering projects for a wide range of clients, develop core consulting skills through training and mentorship, and gain experience across strategy, digital, AI/ML, asset management, and system implementations. Key Responsibilities Under close supervision, perform foundational aspects of business, technical, or digital consulting and complete project assignments using basic principles and consulting attributes. Collect, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data to provide insights, identify trends, opportunities, and risks. Prepare client‑ready deliverables such as reports, presentations, models, and tools with attention to detail, clarity, and logical structure. Participate in client meetings and workshops to support the project team with presentation, facilitation, and note taking. Apply appropriate technical methods to diagnose issues, develop solutions, and engage subject‑matter experts. Develop professional judgment through exposure to industry practices and guidance from senior members. Adhere to budget, schedule, and quality requirements, demonstrating accountability for timely, high‑quality work. Collaborate with team members and experts to ensure high‑quality deliverables and successful project outcomes, escalating risks and issues promptly. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Share knowledge of the latest technologies and processes with colleagues. Build foundational knowledge across Infrastructure Advisory solution areas, with the expectation to deepen expertise over time. Preferred Qualifications Internship or work experience on an engineering or consulting project. Ability to develop functional or technical knowledge in at least one target industry and one solution area. Decision‑making abilities, including insight into multi‑dimensional issues. Collaboration and team‑building skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other commonly used business software. Computer literacy and willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and industry concepts. Logical problem‑solving skills and strong attention to detail. Clear written and verbal communication. Ability to work effectively in a team‑driven, deadline‑based environment. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor of Arts or Science in business, math, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience. 0–2 years of experience in a business or consulting environment. Ability to complete pre‑employment screening, including background checks, drug screening, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with applicable laws.
