Work Environment\n

This position operates in a remote setting, utilizing advanced telehealth technologies to connect with clients across different locations. The flexibility of remote work ensures that our counselors can maintain an optimal work-life balance while delivering care from the comfort of their own homes. Regular working hours will be Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for structured yet flexible scheduling.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for elderly clients to identify specific needs and challenges related to aging.

• Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions to assist clients in managing emotional issues associated with life's transitions and losses.

• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to create and implement personalized care plans that promote mental health and well-being.

• Educate families and caregivers about effective strategies to support the emotional well-being of elderly individuals, enhancing their quality of life.

• Provide specialized grief and loss counseling to clients and their families navigating end-of-life issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on serving an elderly population dealing with various mental health issues, including grief, depression, anxiety, and other age-related emotional challenges. Counselors will engage with clients who are navigating significant life transitions, such as retirement, loss of loved ones, and health declines, providing them with tailored support to help them (re)find meaning, purpose, and psychological stability.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification in Massachusetts.

• At least 4 years of verifiable experience in direct mental health counseling, particularly with geriatric clients.

• Strong understanding of evidence-based practices relevant to geriatric mental health, including methods for promoting emotional well-being and coping strategies.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 65,000 – 95,000 annually, commensurate with experience and skill level. In addition, we provide a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.
