Medical AssistantThe Medical Assistant (MA) functions under the Medical Direction of the Clinic Physicians and their designees, Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Midwife, or Physician Assistants, to carry out direct patient service in the NIHD Clinics.Directly responsible to the RHC/NIA Managers or their designee.The MA is directly supervised by the Clinic Physician or their designee (NP or PA) for clinical practiceWorks closely with District leadership and departments as well as internal and external customers.Works in the outpatient clinic setting. May be exposed to blood, body fluids, or tissues as well as patients in varying stages of infectious states.Minimum Qualifications:Experience: Medical Assistant training course completionEducation: High School Diploma or GED certificateCertification: BLS upon hirePreferred:Experience: 1 + year experience in medical field or clinical back office settingCertification: California Certified Medical Assistant certification or similar National certification10 hour shifts Per diem
