Maintenance Supervisor - Richmond, VA - Day Shift

Compensation Salary: $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 Yearly Supervisor Bonus Potential: $1,000.00 Job Summary The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), carpentry, painting, and other building systems. This is a first‑shift schedule from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Duties / Responsibilities Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the maintenance department. Perform or supervise inspections, maintenance, and repairs of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and special systems. Organize and schedule the work of maintenance staff. Assess building systems to plan work assignments and project schedules. Ensure maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner. Train maintenance department staff. Handle employee discipline as needed and in accordance with company policy. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Skills & Abilities Extensive knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills. Ability to identify issues and determine necessary repairs. Excellent management and supervisory capabilities. Proficiency with computers, email, and Microsoft Office or similar software. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. At least five years of maintenance experience required, including supervisory experience. Physical Requirements Must be able to traverse the property and facility to diagnose building issues and plan repairs or maintenance. Must be physically able to perform repairs when needed. Must spend prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.
