Delivery & Farm Operations Team Member

Pleasant View Farms, a fifth-generation family-owned farm in Somers, Connecticut, is seeking a dependable and motivated individual to join our team as a Delivery & Farm Operations Team Member.

This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating equipment, staying active, and being part of a growing agricultural operation. No two days are the same. One day may involve delivering hay and feed to customers, while the next could be spent helping harvest hay and straw, operating farm equipment, maintaining facilities, or assisting with general farm operations.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, is willing to learn, and understands that agriculture often requires flexibility and long hours during busy seasons.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver hay, straw, feed, and agricultural products to customers
• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
• Assist with hay and straw production and harvest operations
• Operate tractors, loaders, and other farm equipment
• Perform routine equipment maintenance, greasing, cleaning, and inspections
• Assist with general farm maintenance and daily operations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Represent Pleasant View Farms professionally when interacting with customers

What We're Looking For

• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual labor in all weather conditions
• Dependable, punctual, and responsible
• Willingness to work extended hours during hay and harvest seasons when weather conditions require it
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Mechanical aptitude and equipment experience preferred
• Agricultural, trucking, landscaping, construction, or heavy equipment experience is a plus
• CDL is preferred but not required
• Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities

Work Environment

This position involves working outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions. Employees regularly work around trucks, tractors, loaders, hay equipment, livestock, and other agricultural machinery. The role requires lifting, carrying, loading, climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods.
