This full-time opportunity is designed for experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants with recent Emergency Medicine experience who thrive in fast-paced, high-acuity clinical environments. The selected provider will deliver high-quality emergency care while collaborating with emergency physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals within a modern Trauma Center. This position offers structured 10-hour shifts, outstanding compensation, and the opportunity to practice in a collaborative emergency department serving more than 30,000 annual patient visits. Key Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute illnesses, traumatic injuries, and emergency medical conditions. Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and initiate appropriate interventions. Order, interpret, and communicate laboratory, diagnostic imaging, and other clinical findings. Perform procedures within the Advanced Practice Provider scope of practice while maintaining exceptional clinical quality. Collaborate closely with Emergency Medicine physicians, nursing staff, specialists, and ancillary departments to ensure coordinated patient care. Utilize Epic EMR to maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation. Prioritize patient care effectively in a high-volume emergency department while maintaining excellent clinical judgment. Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, discharge instructions, and follow-up care. Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice standards. Maintain professionalism while supporting exceptional patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes. Required Qualifications Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program. Current Texas NP or PA licensure, or eligibility to obtain prior to employment. National certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Minimum two (2) years of recent Emergency Department experience as an NP or PA. Experience practicing within a high-volume Emergency Medicine environment. Proficiency utilizing Epic Electronic Medical Records (EMR). Excellent clinical assessment, communication, critical thinking, and decision-making skills. Ability to work structured 10-hour shifts. Authorized to work in the United States. No employment sponsorship available. Preferred Qualifications Previous Trauma Center experience. Experience managing diverse emergency patient populations across varying acuity levels. Strong procedural skills within NP/PA scope of practice. ACLS, PALS, and ATLS (or equivalent emergency certifications). Demonstrated ability to work efficiently within multidisciplinary Emergency Medicine teams. Stable employment history demonstrating increasing clinical responsibility.
