Project Manager

Austin, Texas Harper Harrison is supporting a confidential, high‑growth data center developer in the search for a Project Manager to support a major hyperscale development project in Texas. This opportunity offers the chance to join a lean team at a pivotal stage of growth, taking ownership of a large‑scale project from the early phases of development through execution. The role offers significant visibility, direct exposure to senior leadership, and the potential to grow into a broader regional leadership position as the business expands. Rather than joining a large organization and owning a small portion of a project, this position provides meaningful responsibility and involvement across the full project lifecycle. Responsibilities Lead project activities across planning, due diligence, design, permitting and construction phases Manage project schedules, budgets and reporting processes Coordinate consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders Support contractor selection, bidding processes and project execution strategy Oversee quality, safety and construction progress across project activities Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies Maintain strong communication with project teams and senior leadership Support project turnover and closeout activities Background sought 7–10+ years of experience across project management, construction management or project engineering environments General Contractor experience strongly preferred Experience managing complex construction projects Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related technical background preferred Data center experience is useful but not essential Strong communication skills and an ownership mindset Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced and evolving environment Why consider it Join a business entering a major growth phase Own a high‑profile project from an early stage Gain direct exposure to leadership and strategic decision‑making Significant progression potential as the platform expands Opportunity to help shape a growing regional operation Austin‑based candidates are preferred, though Northern Virginia‑based candidates open to travel may also be considered.
