This is a system wide role that would require work at locations in Danville and Harrodsburg.
Performs technical procedures to obtain MRI Images of various portions of the body using standardized techniques to assist physicians in diagnosis of diseases and injuries. Exhibits the F.I.R.S.T. values (Friendliness, Innovation, Respect, Service, and Trust).
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:
- Prepares and performs patient procedures.
- Performs diagnostic procedures to ensure the delivery of quality care.
- Contributes to the efficient operation of the department.
- Assists in the clinical training of radiologic technology students.
- Screen patients to prevent injury during exam. R10 metallic objects in body, pacemaker, aneurysm clips and other objects which contradict an MRI.
- Calculate proper Gadolenium doses and administer injections.
- Assists in troubleshooting problems of scanner.
- Considers the age of the patient served, applies knowledge of growth and development and age-specific techniques through life span (neonates/infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics) in planning and implementing care.

Working Conditions, Hazards and Physical Effort:
Exposure to infectious materials, cuts, and abrasions from equipment. A flexible work schedule is required. Constant physical activity. Strenuous activity involved with moving equipment and patients. Must be able to move or position 25 lbs. independently.
Contacts with Others:
Patients, visitors, physicians, and all other departments within the facility.
Equipment Used/Special Skills Required:
Ability to operate MRI equipment and computers. Minimum of two (2) years as MRI Technologist preferred.
