CompHealth is seeking a dedicated healthcare professional for a locum tenens opportunity, providing essential psychiatric care within correctional facilities. This role involves serving both adult and adolescent populations in county jails and juvenile detention centers. The position focuses on stabilizing patients, managing medication withdrawal, and providing acute psychiatric stabilization.

- Correctional healthcare setting -- jails and juvenile detention
Responsibilities
- Stabilizing patients within first 24 hours of incarceration
- Managing medication withdrawal and acute psychiatric stabilization
Compensation
- $185 - $220 hourly
- Rates shown are all-inclusive and combine an hourly base pay with other potential earnings like overtime, call, and holiday pay
- We negotiate better pay and deposit it weekly

- Tues & Thurs 8hr shifts

Requirements
- Experience in emergency psychiatry or crisis stabilization preferred
- Comfortable stabilizing patients within first 24 hours of incarceration
- Experience managing medication withdrawal and acute psychiatric stabilization
- Hospital privileges required
