About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: RN Emergency Room (ER) Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Nights - 12 Hour Rotation Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years recent experience License: Active NY RN license Certifications: NIH, AHA BLS Must-Have: Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility. Description: This position is in a large, high-acuity Emergency Department with 80 treatment spaces in a modern environment. The team is experienced, collaborative, and supportive. There is a strong focus on high-quality patient care, including specialized geriatric emergency care. The Emergency Department is accredited for geriatric emergency care. Shifts are scheduled on nights, with a 12-hour rotation from 3 PM to 3 AM or 7 PM to 7 AM. Weekend coverage requires one shift per contracted week or two shifts every other weekend. Working at least one holiday per contract is required. A rotating blocked schedule can be requested. On-call shifts are not required but are highly recommended. On-call availability can be between 7 PM and 7 AM in blocks of 4, 8, 12, or 16 hours. Charting is conducted using EPIC.
