Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room (ER) Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Emergency Medicine Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years recent experience; 2 years of U.S. work history required for non-U.S. candidates License: Active RN license in New York Certifications: NIH, AHA BLS Must-Have: Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility Description: This position is in a large, high-acuity emergency department with 80 treatment spaces in a modern environment. The team is experienced, collaborative, and supportive. Strong leadership is present, focused on high-quality patient care. The department includes specialized geriatric emergency care. The shift is a 12-hour night rotation. Weekend requirements include one weekend shift per contracted week or two weekend shifts every other weekend. Staff must work at least one holiday per contract. A rotating blocked schedule can be requested. If requesting a fixed block schedule, it must be Thursday/Friday/Saturday, Friday/Saturday/Sunday, or Saturday/Sunday/Monday. On-call shifts are not required but are highly recommended. On-call may consist of 32 to 44 hours, averaging 2 hours of call per contracted week. On-call shifts occur during night hours and can be picked up in 4, 8, 12, or 16-hour blocks. Charting is completed using an electronic health record system.
