Sanico is a leading wholesale distributor of janitorial supplies & professional cleaning equipment servicing Upstate New York and Northeast Pennsylvania. Our goal is simple-- find solutions for our customers. We are looking for a motivated, fast learner to join our growing Syracuse Branch team as a Customer Service & Sales Support Associate .

JOB DESCRIPTION

Working under the guidance of Sanico’s Syracuse Branch Manager, the CSR plays an important customer-facing role at the “front door” of the organization. Qualified applicants will have strong in-person and telephone communication skills and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced office environment. The position also requires frequent internal communication with back office and warehouse staff, as well as administrative support for Sanico management and field sales representatives—such tasks as order entry, customer billing, and cash management.

Daily responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Answer incoming telephone calls, triage as necessary
• Walk-In Customer/Counter sales—process point-of-sale transactions with appropriate handling of customer information
• Route communication from field sales staff to appropriate internal staff
• Operate and efficiently navigate company’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)/order entry system (DDI/Inform) 
• Sales Support—customer quote generation, order entry, gathering materials (SDS, Product Info, etc.), tracking Open/Incomplete Orders
• Cash flow functions (processing and posting of point-of-service payments, invoice processing)

• High School Diploma/GED required
• 1-2 years of non-retail counter sales/customer service experience 
• Comfortable in a fast-paced work environment, can multi-task
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office applications
• Active driver's license required
• May require lifting up to 25 pounds

Job Type: In-person, Full-time, Hourly, Benefit-eligible

Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00-4:30pm

Location: Sanico SYR Branch, Syracuse, NY

Wage: $15.00-$17.00 per hour
