The ideal Dishwasher will be equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator.This position exists to provide prompt, courteous service in keeping the dining and kitchen areas neat, clean, and sanitized.Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.Summary of Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesMaintains cleanliness and order in the kitchen, storage areas, dining room, and the dishwashing stationEmpties trash and cleans the trash containers, sweep, mop, organize, and stockMaintains cleanliness of all dishes, flatware, utensils, pots, pans, etc. using manual and automatic warewashing standardsEnsures dish machine is working properly, reporting issues to leadership as necessaryProvides courteous service in keeping the guests' dining areas neat, clean, and in order (Dining areas include drink stations, condiment stations, and any table or counter space used for eating on or from which you are serving food)Buses tables, sanitizes, and disinfects tables and counters, stock dishes, dry goods, sweep, and mopProvides continuous service and attention to detailClears away dirty dishes, glasses, serving dishes, and eating utensils in a timely mannerRemoves and throws away disposable products such as paper cups, plates, containers, condiment wrappers, napkins, straws, plastic utensils, etcBe aware of the location of equipment of any kind to avoid accidents with bus carts, tray jacks, cleaning equipment, fallen food, liquid, or trashBe available and willing to work at different locations across the Dollywood PropertiesAlways understand and practice safe food handling, following state and local health department Regulations and ServSafe guidelinesBe an active participant in safety issues relating to personal safety and the safety of fellow hosts and guestsFollows all procedures/standards affecting the Culinary Division's financial standing such as clocking in/out properly, completion of tasks in a timely and accurate manner and not wasting suppliesManagement reserves the right to change and/or add to these duties at any timeEducation and Experience RequiredMust be at least 14 years oldEmployees may be required to be 18 years of age to operate some equipmentPrevious food service experience preferredOffers of employment are contingent upon satisfactory completion of onboarding process which includes background screening and pre-employment drug screeningKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAble to make a friendly impression when speaking to or corresponding with guests, vendors, and other employeesMust reflect Dollywood's image by being genuinely friendly and caring and by taking pride in workMust be self-motivated and disciplinedMust be able to prioritize and complete work assignments on a timely basisMust maintain strict confidentiality and judgment regarding privileged informationMust be committed to continuous improvementMust maintain a professional appearance with good personal hygieneMust promote and support a "team" work environment by cooperating and helping co-workersMust be productive in a fast-paced environmentMust maintain dependable work attendance and flexibility with assigned work schedules including any required overtime, evenings, weekends and holidaysMust be sensitive to the needs of our Guests and feel empowered to act to meet their needs within company guidelinesMust be able to utilize effective communication, problem solving, conflict management and interpersonal skillsAble to comprehend instructions and retain informationAble to perform duties consistent with creating a safe and secure environment for hosts and guestsAble to be flexible to handle frequent changes in prioritiesAble to add, subtract, multiply and divide with accuracyAble to communicate effectively with Guests and Hosts using approved communication methodsAble to collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and deliver projects ahead of schedule, fostering open communication and mutual support to achieve shared goalsAbility to safely operate equipment according to company and manufacturer guidelinesAbility to safely navigate work environmentAble to reach high and low to get suppliesAble to have finger movement to do detailed work, run a register or guest check system, calculator, etcAble to sweep and mopAble to make decisions by analyzing information allowing on-the-spot correction of guests concernsAble to tolerate extreme heat, extreme cold, and humidity necessary to work in kitchens, walk-ins, freezers, climate changes and be able to work outdoors. (Must be minimum 16 years of age to operate the dishwasher and garbage disposal)Ability to tolerate approved Ecolab detergents and chemicals necessary clean/sanitize equipment and environmentAble to accommodate many guests at one time, changes in work schedule and job assignmentsMust take Start Fresh training, as well as implement all safety aspects of Start Fresh trainingMust comply with all Health Department, ServSafe, and/or Dollywood Company regulations pertaining to safe food handling procedures and practicesPhysical and Cognitive RequirementsLifting and Carrying: Position may require occasional to frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs. utilizing company's safety guidelines for safe liftingMobility: Position may require intermittent to prolonged sitting, standing and/or walking for duration of shift, up to 13 hours. Employees may also be required to travel to various areas on property which may include changes in terrain, stairs and uneven surfacesRepetitive Movements: This position may require performing repetitive movements and tasks throughout the shift, including repeated use of hands, arms or other body parts as part of typical job functionsEnvironmental Conditions: This position requires the ability to perform work tasks in varying weather conditions to include extreme cold and heat.
