Cost Accountant – Goshen, IndianaSalary: $65,000–$85,000 annuallyWhy This Opportunity Stands OutEstablished Manufacturing Presence: Join a well-known organization in the Goshen area with complex costing needs and stable operations.High-Impact Role: Play a critical role in cost control, margin analysis, and operational decision-making.Cross-Functional Exposure: Partner closely with operations, production, and leadership teams.Process Improvement Focus: Opportunity to improve costing methods, reporting accuracy, and internal controls.Career Growth Potential: Strong pathway into Senior Cost Accountant, Plant Controller, or Finance leadership roles.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze and maintain standard costs, variances, and inventory valuationsPrepare and analyze cost reports related to labor, materials, and overheadSupport month-end close with inventory and cost-related journal entriesPartner with operations to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvementsAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and margin analysisEnsure accurate BOMs, routings, and cost structures within the ERP systemSupport internal and external audits related to inventory and costingQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field3–6 years of cost accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environmentStrong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory accountingExperience with ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, Epicor, Oracle, or similar)Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilitiesDetail-oriented with the ability to communicate financial insights to non-financial teamsWork Setting: On-siteLocation: Goshen, Indiana
