OCI Cloud Engineer responsible for monitoring, managing, and troubleshooting OCI infrastructure, Oracle Fusion SaaS, OIC, and Autonomous Database environments to ensure high availability and performance.
Designed and implemented OCI observability solutions using Log Analytics, APM, Connector Hub, Streaming, custom dashboards, and SIEM integrations for comprehensive application and infrastructure monitoring.
Automated OCI resource provisioning and deployment processes using Terraform, Docker, OKE, and CI/CD pipelines while providing production support, performance optimization, documentation, and 24/7 on-call assistance.

Key services.

Experience with tools like Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of OCI resources.

Knowledge of Oracle database systems and other databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL for performance tuning and management.

Expertise in OCI Identity and Access Management (IAM), Vault, and security services like Cloud Guard.

Proficiency in coding/scripting languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, Bash, or PowerShell.

Problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.

Communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot Oracle Fusion application performance and availability. This includes a focus on Customer, SCM, Financials, and Procurement modules

Setup Logging services (using log analytics, connector hub, streaming)

Custom OCI dashboards for monitoring

Autonomous database management and monitoring

SAAS (OIC and Fusion) monitoring

Integrating OCI logging with SIEM tools (like Google Secops)

while testing and creating monitoring modules and enabling APM for fusion and providing any documentation that we might have for APM enablement in OCI

Enabling APM for Fusion and creating dashboards using an external tool / system

Improve CI/CD pipelines for Oracle Fusion application deployments and updates

Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical production issues

In-depth knowledge of fundamental OCI services, including Compute, Storage (Block, Object, File), and Networking (VCNs, gateways).

Expertise in deploying and managing containerized applications using Docker and Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE).

A deep understanding of OCI's observability stack to collect and analyze metrics, logs, and traces.
