- # GCU Welcome Programs - Events and Programs Student Worker (FWS/NFWS)Applylocations: AZ Phoenixtime type: Part timeposted on: Posted Yesterdayjob requisition id: R000067560**Position Summary/Purpose:** Provide programmatic and logistical support for new student and family programs within the Department of Welcome Programs.**Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities/Essential Functions:*** Assist with creating, coordinating, and implementing logistics for events and activities* Assist with creating, coordinating, and implementing curricula and programs* Provide operational, task-oriented support for all programs, events, and activities* Network and collaborate with other GCU departments, partners, and students* Maintain and expand knowledge of relevant systems, platforms, and resources to aid in managing organizational details* Support daily office functions and administrative tasks, including answering phone calls and emails* Other duties as assigned**Equipment Used and Responsibility:*** MS Office* ClickUp Project Management System**Qualifications:*** Experience and interest in event planning and/or curriculum development* Excellent written and oral communication, as well as interpersonal skills* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail* Desire to learn new skills and ability to take and receive direction from staff* Ability to balance multiple tasks at one time and take initiative of responsibilities* Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook**Experience/Education:**Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy. Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:* Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program.* Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.* Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.*You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.*Pay Rate: Minimum WageAnticipated End Date: June 30, 2027
