Project Manager - Water Business

Date: May 26, 2026 Location: Creve Coeur, MO, US Company: Black & Veatch Opportunity Sr. Project Manager Key Responsibilities Manage all aspects of small to medium projects, including risk to cost, schedule, and quality. Be responsible for day‑to‑day successful execution of contracted engineering, procurement, and construction scope. Ensure performance, financial metrics, planning, schedule, quality, contractual compliance, safety, and client satisfaction. Provide successful staffing of the project and lead medium teams of multi‑discipline professionals. Coordinate and integrate activities associated with engineering, procurement, construction, and startup elements, including third party companies. Oversee performance & commercial management including budgeting, invoicing, payments, and project performance reviews. Business Development Lead marketing team efforts. Develop strategy and identify prospects. Prepare proposals, client presentations, and project budgets. Accountable for new business objectives and overall project performance. Project Management Interact with assigned clients and promote Black & Veatch through client and community activities. Support development of market business plan, strategies for client engagement, and leverage technical and management resources. Project Execution Oversee engineering manager(s). Develop and implement project performance goals. Ensure internal project team and owner representatives are actively involved. Staff Management Develop, mentor, and coach team members for performance improvement. Recommend training, promotions, and identify new candidates to expand the team. Preferred Qualifications 10+ years of active water/wastewater experience with demonstrated leadership in the St. Louis market. Professional Engineering License and Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline. Understanding of budgets and financial metrics. Contract negotiation skills, including knowledge of terms, risks, pricing, and payment terms. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
