A Electrical Equipment Manufacturer is growing their team and is looking for an experienced Metal Fabricator to manufacture custom copper components used in electrical control panels, switchgear, and power distribution equipment. This company offers a clean, organized manufacturing environment, hands-on technical work, and opportunities for long-term career growth.
Metal Fabricator Job Duties
- Cut, bend, punch, and shape copper materials using fabrication equipment
- Operate benders, punch/shear (ironworker), and other metal fabrication machines
- Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and fabrication drawings
- Measure and verify dimensions using tape measures, calipers, and other precision measuring tools
- Deburr, finish, and prepare fabricated components for assembly
- Install fabricated copper components into electrical equipment as needed
- Use hand and power tools to complete fabrication tasks
- Maintain quality standards while meeting production deadlines
Metal Fabricator Requirements
- Experience working in a fabrication, metal shop, or manufacturing environment
- Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings
- Experience using tape measures, calipers, and other measuring tools
- Experience operating fabrication equipment or metalworking machinery
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
Pay: $22–$29/hr DOE
Schedule: Monday–Friday 5am-1:30pm Must be able to start at 3:00am during mandatory overtime
