What You'll Do
As a Medical Assistant, you'll provide clinical and administrative support to healthcare professionals while helping ensure quality, compassionate patient care.

• Receive and direct phone calls, schedule appointments, and check in patients 
• Obtain patient information and ensure forms and consents are completed 
• Record medical histories, vital signs, test results, and other clinical information 
• Prepare examination and treatment rooms, equipment, and instruments 
• Maintain medical supply inventory and stock exam rooms appropriately 
• Prepare, order, and administer medications under physician direction and supervision 
• Assist practitioners with medical procedures and other patient care 
• Assist with pre- and post-procedure patient transfers 
• Provide compassionate support and assistance to patients and families 
• Schedule and reschedule appointments, including proactive waitlist and schedule optimization 
• Schedule follow-up appointments at checkout and document reasons when appointments cannot be scheduled 
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other healthcare regulations and complete required training 

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required 
• At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting 
• Medical Assistant certification may be required 
• Knowledge of medical terminology, spelling, and office ethics 
• Understanding of patient confidentiality requirements 
• Basic knowledge of clerical procedures, recordkeeping, and filing 
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
