Description

American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist with 2+ years of experience in mammography and DEXA imaging for a 13-week travel assignment in Sierra Vista, AZ.

Details

• Located at an imaging center within a 120-bed, Level III trauma hospital in the high desert of southeastern Arizona, 75 miles southeast of Tucson
• Mammography and DEXA department serving adult and geriatric patients
• Procedures include mammography, DEXA scanning, stereotactic breast biopsies, and needle localization procedures
• Equipment includes Hologic Selenia, Hologic Discovery, and Affirm Prone Biopsy Table
• EMR is Cerner; Change PACS is used for imaging
• 1:1 patient ratio
• 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• No weekend hours, no call requirements, and no float requirements

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of mammography experience
• ARRT certification with Mammography designation — R.T.(R)(M) required
• Must be registered per MQSA guidelines
• AZ state license in both Radiography and Mammography required (license required if applicable)
• AHA BLS certification required
• Associates degree from an accredited Radiology program required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Candidates must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate

Additional Information

• Performs mammography screening and diagnostic exams, DEXA scans, stereotactic breast biopsies, and needle localization procedures
• Biopsy experience is preferred
• Orientation is held on a bi-weekly basis
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
• Any scrub color is acceptable; acrylic nails and hats are not permitted
• Sierra Vista offers wine tasting, state and national parks, prehistoric archaeological sites, Fort Huachuca, and Old West history
